Lemon Grass – Benefits and Recipes

Lemon Grass is also known as Nimmagaddi in Telugu .It is also called Cochin Grass or Malabar Grass.

These spices are used to make Oils, Soaps, Candles, Mosquito Repellent Etc…

Uses Of Lemon Grass:

Lemon Grass Tea:

  1. 1 cup boiling water over 1 to 3 teaspoons fresh or dried lemongrass
  2. Steep for at least five minutes
  3. Strain the tea
  4. Enjoy hot Tea

 

 

Lemon Grass Butter Milk:

Take a bunch of Lemon grass, wash it and keep it in the mixer, add five to six peppercorns,1 tablespoon Black Salt, add a cup of curd and  little water and grind it and Strain it and drink.

 

 

Lemon Grass oil:

Take a bunch of Lemon grass and cut them into small pieces {It is a little bit hard to cut using a knife or scissors} , wash it and drain it  and keep it in a  hand blender {rolu} and blend it a little bit. Now take it in a  bowl and add coconut  oil. Make sure that lemon grass should be completely immersed in oil. Now take a pan, add water into it and keep it on the stove in that pan. Keep the bowl and heat it for one hour by stirring it .Later remove the bowl from the pan and keep it aside until it cools then Strain it and store in a jar bottle and use it.
